I also am dismayed at social media’s attack on young people’s self esteem. I often say that I’m so glad I’m not a kid today. When I was in middle school in the 1970s, I was pretty sure I wasn’t very popular but at least I didn’t have any numbers (absence of likes, less “friends” or “followers,” etc.) to prove it!

You and me both. It's been frustrating watching the city and suburbs offer tax incentives to bring FB data centers while at the same time seeing our kids suffer because of FB data shenanigans. I do see dawn however. Thanks for reading!!
