I am in need of inspiration today, surrounded as I am by so much hate and division. Exhausted with the Alice in Wonderland upside down current events. Perspective more elusive than it should be.
I’m so with you on this Robert. I was going to post music today but at this point, contemplation seemed better. At least we can pitch a tent of serenity in our heart/mind.
Your writings and recordings here always get me “up and around” to the beauties of the real world.
Thinking back to the Governor’s Award for the Arts (which thankfully has nothing to do with the Governor and everything to do with the Arts, at least so far) you know that these awards, like the ones honoring you, have the effect of propelling us into working harder to give back.
Another beautiful thought is that even though I sometimes wonder when we’ll run out of candidates, the world keeps making wondrous artists!
This is sadly unlike mountains and rivers, so your reminder to look around also reminds us as artists to rise and protect that which nourishes and inspires us.
