I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my brother Don’s 71st birthday(!) then to feature his alto saxophone on my composition entitled “Why?”

The piece was an idea that came to life during a recording session

produced in the wake of the George Floyd and Brianna Taylor tragedies.

The electric piano/percussion foundation simply asks why? Brother Don’s alto saxophone answers, representing light penetrating darkness.

Big thanks and Happy Birthday to Linda’s husband, son Eriq and daughter Lia’s father and my dear brother Don C. Brown. Play on……
